Poppy seeds are tiny, kidney-shaped, dried and grayish blue to dark blue seeds coming from Papaver somniferum. They are a source of poppy-seed oil and used as flavoring and spice for foods giving a faint nutlike aroma and nutty taste to various foods. They are contained in sealed containers to avoid moisture and external pollutants contamination.
Poppy seeds can be contained in clear plastic or glass bottles. Some are packed in laminated cartons, food grade plastic bags, pouches, sachets and packets. Prints can be done through gravure, offset printing, UV printing and paper stickers. Labels contain the product usage, product source, and colored picture of the
plant or seeds.
